About the Client

With a commitment to excellence, innovation, and safety, they are looking to bring on a highly experienced Senior Estimator to lead preconstruction efforts and support strategic growth.

Job Summary
The Senior Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate, timely, and competitive cost estimates for construction projects. This role involves leading the estimating process, coordinating with subcontractors, and collaborating with project teams to ensure successful project bidding and handoff.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates for commercial and infrastructure projects.
Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive project bids.
Solicit, evaluate, and manage subcontractor and supplier quotes.
Conduct quantity take-offs and pricing using industry-standard estimating software.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to clarify scope and ensure accuracy.
Participate in value engineering and risk assessment activities.
Maintain and update historical cost data and unit pricing databases.
Support contract negotiations and assist in project budgeting and forecasting.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 7 years of experience in construction estimating, with a strong background in commercial or infrastructure projects.
Proficient in estimating software such as Sage Estimating, ProEst, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar tools.
Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, materials, and codes.
Excellent mathematical, analytical, and negotiation skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication abilities.

Preferred
Experience with Design-Build or CMAR project delivery methods.
Familiarity with BIM and digital takeoff tools.
Professional certifications such as CPE (Certified Professional Estimator) are a plus.
